The perfect option for lake-lovers everywhere. Go to the Canada Helps Walk for Water 2019 event page to get started.

PARTICIPATE IN PERSON:

1. Download the Walk for Water 2019 pledge form and print it. You can also pick up pledge forms throughout lakeside communities where they’ll be available at various businesses and organizations – or you can get them from LWF’s Winnipeg office. (Our email adresses, street address and phone number can be found on our Contact Us page.)

2. Use the form to collect pledges for your walk; ask your friends, family, co-workers, teammates, or anyone else who cares about Lake Winnipeg and wants to be part of the solution! LWF provides charitable receipts for donations of $20 or more. Donations of $50 or more include a one-year LWF membership. Please ensure collected information is accurate and complete so that we can mail charitable receipts in a timely manner!

3. Bring your completed pledge form and the money you raised to one of our Walk for Water events. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring a reusable water bottle!

4. LWF volunteers will be on site before the walk begins to receive your donations and give you a free LWF t-shirt. We’ll also have free educational material to browse/pick up, and fundraising products for purchase. Both Walk for Water events also feature fundraising raffles with great prizes to win!

5. Raffle winners at both events will be announced after the walk. In Dunnottar, we host a community barbeque.

PARTICIPATE ONLINE

2. Tell your story: Let people know why water matters to you by sharing your favourite lake memory, or personalizing your page with pictures and videos!
