Join us at FortWhyte Alive on Sunday, June 10, for MEC's Paddlefest!

This free event features information sessions on kayaking, canoeing and SUP, as well as kids’ activities and the newest gear up for grabs.

Come by our table to say hi! We’ll be there all day, selling some of our unique fundraising merchandise, and sharing we’ve been doing lately to restore and protect the health of Lake Winnipeg (which is a great place to paddle!). 

In the lead up to Earth Day 2018, join LWF’s executive director and others for what will surely be an informative and interesting panel discussion!

Are you a full-time student looking for summer work before returning to school in the fall? We’re hiring for two positions!

  • Summer Outreach Co-ordinator: This person will be responsible for planning, promoting and delivering a series of outreach and fundraising events.
  • Community-Based Monitoring Assistant: This person will support the field activities of the Lake Winnipeg Community-Based Monitoring Network, enabling the collection of robust and credible citizen-generated water data.

Back by popular demand, this free event has something for everyone:

  • Special guests Jodi Goerzen, Manager of the Seine-Rat River Conservation District and LWF’s CBM Co-ordinator Chelsea Lobson will be sharing details about our community-based monitoring (CBM) network – learn how citizens across Manitoba are taking action for water and how you can get involved.
  • The Heal the Lake Kids are back with some lake-themed activities – plus, we’ll have outdoor games and an inflatable bouncer!
  • Chat with LWF staff...

Come find us at the Lakeshore Heights Family Fun Day! This event takes place on Saturday, July 8, at the covered community structure on West Street (at Lakeview Ave). Stop by our table to learn more about Lake Winnipeg and what we're doing to protect it. We'll also have some of our unique fundraising products with us!
