We’re seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to join our team in the position of Finance & Administration Manager!

This one-year, full-time term position (with the possibility of extension) is based out of Winnipeg and includes travel to various Lake Winnipeg communities.

The Finance & Administration Manager’s responsibilities will include:

  • Financial management and bookkeeping
  • Donor database management and communications
  • Office reception and management
  • Governance support
  • Program support

Heading out to the lake for the Canada Day long weekend? We'll be at Charlie Wall Park on Sunday, July 3, for the Hillside Beach Community Association's Family Fun Day & Barbeque!

Stop by our table to chat about our work, touch zebra mussels, pick up free educational material and purchase some of our unique fundraising products. We look forward to seeing you there!

Join us at FortWhyte Alive on Sunday, June 5 for MEC Paddlefest - a celebration of all things paddling-related. This festival features informative clinics in kayaking, canoeing and SUP, kids’ activities, paddling demos, the latest gear and gizmos from paddling retailers and manufacturers, community paddling groups, and gear giveaways.

We'll be there all day, talking about our work to restore and protect the health of Lake Winnipeg (which is a great place to paddle!). Come by our table to learn more, or to purchase some of our unique fundraising products!

SUP CUP returns! Our friends at The Hardcore Surf & Paddleboard Company are once again hosting a series of stand-up paddleboard races at beautiful Grand Beach – and donating proceeds raised to LWF!

Join in the fun on Saturday, Aug. 6. There’s an event for everyone – from novice to elite, and special kids’ races, too! ​We'll be there all day to cheer on participants and share information about Lake Winnipeg.

Walk for Water is the largest grassroots fundraising event in support of a healthy Lake Winnipeg. Taking place in several lakeside communities, it's a great way to be a part of the solution — and a fun way to spend a day at the lake!

Location: Victoria Beach Clubhouse
Registration: 9:15 a.m.; Walk begins at 10:00 a.m.
Distance: 5 km and 2.5 km options
