Get involved in Walk for Water 2016 – on the ground or online!
Dear LWF supporter,
Walk for Water 2016 is fast approaching, with the first of three walks taking place in Dunnottar in just two weeks!
Proceeds from this signature summer fundraising event are used to translate science into solutions: funding research, training citizen scientists, educating students and communities, and addressing the root causes of harmful algae blooms by advancing the Lake Winnipeg Health Plan.
New this year, we’ve launched an online fundraising option! It’s an easy way to collect donations from out-of-town friends and family, create your own personalized fundraising pages, and share your campaign on social media. (Of course, you can still participate by collecting donations using our printed pledge forms, available at the LWF office and other participating businesses, and in a downloadable, printable format.)
We invite you to join with lake-lovers in Dunnottar (July 24), Gimli (Aug. 7) and Victoria Beach (Aug. 7) as we walk together for the health our shared waters. All Walk for Water 2016 participants will receive a free LWF t-shirt – and the chance to win some great prizes!
Head to our website for more details.
Thank you for your continued support. See you at the beach!
