This raffle is open to all residents of Manitoba except for the following individuals and all immediate family residing in the same household: LWF staff members; members of LWF’s board of directors; concert emcee.
Tickets must be purchased and mailed within the province of Manitoba.
Only tickets that have been paid for and/or verified as paid for are eligible for the draw.
All ticket purchases are final and refunds are not available.
A total of 1,200 tickets have been printed: 300 individual tickets that will be sold for $5 each and 900 tickets that will be sold in sets of three for $10.
Raffle tickets may be ordered via phone, email or by mailing in an order form with payment to LWF’s office. Ticket stubs will be mailed out upon receipt of payment. To qualify for the draw, such orders must be received by LWF by 4:30 p.m., Jan. 13, 2016.
Raffle tickets will continue to be sold in person by LWF staff and volunteers until 8:40 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2016.
Charitable receipts will not be issued for raffle ticket purchases.
The draw will take place at 9:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at the West End Culture Centre. Three prizes will be awarded. Each prize draw will select one winner. Winning tickets will be randomly selected by hand from a drum in the following order: 3rd prize, 2nd prize, 1st prize.
In the event that multiple ticket stubs are inadvertently selected from the draw drum, and this is identified prior to the reading of the ticket number, LWF will halt the draw immediately, ticket stubs will be returned to the drum, and the draw procedure will be performed to determine one winner.
In the event that multiple ticket stubs are inadvertently pulled from the draw drum, and this is not identified prior to identifying and reading of the ticket number, the ticket number read aloud is deemed to be the first ticket pulled and therefore established as the valid winner.
Winning tickets selected during the draw will not be returned to the drum to be eligible for subsequent prizes.
Winners do not need to be in attendance at the draw to claim their prizes.
Winners will be contacted by phone and/or email on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016. With the exception of winners’ names, all other contact information will be kept confidential and will not be shared with any other organization. LWF will not contact winners for any other reason without their express consent.
A list of winners’ names, ticket numbers and prizes won will be posted on LWF’s website by 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016.
Prizes must be claimed by March 31, 2016.
Prizes must be picked up at LWF’s office in Winnipeg. Should a winner want their prize shipped to them, shipping costs will be paid by the winner.
Any prizes that have not been claimed by March 31, 2016, will be forfeited by the original winner and a new draw will be conducted for those prizes.
This raffle has been licensed by the Liquor and Gaming Authority of Manitoba and is being conducted in accordance with all licencing requirements. LWF’s licence number is #LGA 6529 RF.
