The Manitoba Conservation Districts Association's 39th Annual Conservation Conference takes place in Brandon. This year's theme is "Water Management in Action – The  Rural-Urban Connection."

LWF will have a table in the tradeshow, where we'll be sharing information about our health plan and other aspects of our work. If you're planning on attending this event, make sure to stop by and say hello!

Offered as part of the University of Winnipeg's Department of Geography's 2014-15 lecture series, this presentation will provide an introduction to the root causes of the current health challenges facing Lake Winnipeg, background information on LWF and its work, and an overview of the Lake Winnipeg Health Plan, our science-based action plan to restore and protect Manitoba’s great lake. With introductary remarks by UW President and Vice-Chancelor Dr. Annette Trimbee. All lake-lovers are welcome to attend!

A special LWF members' meeting is being held:

The purpose of this special meeting is to ratify approval of motions made by the Board of Directors, in compliance with the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, as required by Corporations Canada.

In order to be in compliance with the act and maintain our charitable status, we need the support of two-thirds of members in attendance at this meeting. New members are welcome; donations of $50 or more can be made at the door...
