Bid for Lake Winnipeg Art Auction 2023

LWF’s popular art auction has returned for another year – with a new, hyper-local lakeside twist!

The 2023 Bid for Lake Winnipeg Art Auction is being presented as an in-person event running in and around the lakeside community of Victoria Beach from July 14 to Aug. 13.

Coordinated by the Victoria Beach & District Walk for Water Committee, this is your opportunity to bid on a diverse selection of artwork, including some which are also accompanied by gift cards to local businesses!

All proceeds raised through the auction will be used by the Lake Winnipeg Foundation to support evidence-based advocacy to reduce phosphorus-loading to Lake Winnipeg.

How to participate:

Artwork will be displayed throughout the Victoria Beach area in local businesses and at local events, along with paper bidding sheets.

  • In-person written bidding on each item runs until Aug. 13.
  • Simply write your name, phone number and bid (with option to maintain your privacy as explained on all bidding sheets), and keep checking back to increase your bid as desired to win the piece you love! You can bid as often as you wish.
  • All artwork will be moved to the Victoria Beach Village Green in the morning of Aug. 13, for the 2023 Walk for Water. This will be your final chance to bid!
  • Winners will be announced immediately following the walk. Winners who are unable to attend Walk for Water in person will be notified by telephone on Aug. 14.
  • Additional information is noted at the bottom of this web page.

A huge thank you to the talented and generous artists, craftspeople and businesses for their contributions to this year’s auction, and to the Victoria Beach & District Walk for Water Committee for making this always-fun event possible.
