We’ll be discussing our collaborative position paper, Five Things the Federal Government Must Do for Lake Winnipeg, and how we can meaningfully address Canada’s freshwater challenges. This is an opportunity for lake-lovers to learn more about the practical steps needed to protect our shared waters!

Building on the record-breaking success of 2020’s Founders’ Ride, a group of cyclists will once again challenge themselves to pedal from Winnipeg to Victoria Beach in support of a healthy Lake Winnipeg!

We were overwhelmed by the outpouring of encouragement and community spirit last year and are excited to build on that momentum in advance of this year’s fundraising ride. We hope you can join us in supporting these determined cyclists in their efforts!

In recognition of World Water Day (March 22), the Lake Winnipeg Foundation and the Lake Winnipeg Indigenous Collective will be diving into our collaborative position paper, Five Things the Federal Government Must Do for Lake Winnipeg. Together, we will be discussing our recommendations to meaningfully address the challenges facing the world’s 10th largest freshwater lake. This is an opportunity for lake-lovers to learn more about the practical steps needed to protect our shared waters!
