Tickets are now on sale for our Love, Lake Winnipeg raffle!

Created as part of our collaborative fundraising project, Love, Lake Winnipeg: A tribute to the songs of Sol Sigurdson, this is your chance to win amazing prizes and support LWF!

Prizes:

1st prize: Custom-built acoustic bass guitar with soft case, courtesy of C.F. Casey Guitars ($2,500 value)

C.F. Casey Guitars

This unique instrument is made from Sitka spruce, Imbuya and mahogany, with Indian rosewood, curly walnut and bone details.

Built as a prototype by Manitoba luthier Fred Casey, it has a 14-fret neck length and multiple string scales. It’s substantial in size and comes with a lifetime structural warranty and its own soft case. The coolest bass you’ll ever own!

2nd prize: Matted 16" x 25” Lake Winnipeg fine art photograph, courtesy of William Pura ($500 value)

William Pura

Since 2005, artist William Pura has taken thousands of photographs of Lake Winnipeg and the surrounding area. His work explores a wide range of issues regarding the lake and its relationship to the human presence in Manitoba.

This compelling photographic print, titled Receding Storm, measures 16" x 25" and has already been professionally matted to a size of 23.5" x 31". We’re pretty sure it would look great on your wall.

3rd prize: Music and merchandise from Love, Lake Winnipeg: A tribute to the songs of Sol Sigurdson and participating artists ($200 value)

Love, Lake Winnipeg: A tribute to the songs of Sol Sigurdson

This prize package features assorted music from DJ Co-op, Mise en Scene, Scott Nolan, John K. Samson and Jess Reimer, aka the amazing artists who collaborated on Love, Lake Winnipeg: A tribute to the songs of Sol Sigurdson.

Also included is a copy of the Love, Lake Winnipeg EP, limited-edition T-shirts and art posters, and a vintage vinyl copy of the album that started it all, Riverton singer-songwriter Sol Sigurdson’s 1970 cult classic, The Lake Winnipeg Fisherman. A must-have for any Manitoba music collector.

The draw will take place at 9:15 p.m. during the concert. You don’t need to be in attendance to win – although it’s going to be a great show!

All funds raised through this raffle will support LWF’s grants program. Winning ticket information will be posted online on Jan. 18, 2016.

Please note, as per the terms and conditions set forth by the Liquor and Gaming Authority of Manitoba**, this raffle is open only to residents of Manitoba. Tickets must be purchased and mailed within the province of Manitoba. Full raffle rules can be found here.
